As 最色导航 students and faculty begin the last few weeks of classes before final exams, we celebrate a remarkable fall semester. Among the highlights, students in Heidi Vogel’s theater class devised a play and performed it in August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, U.S. News & World Report named 最色导航 the Best Liberal Arts College in Indiana, and Dr. Robert Royalty’s class explored the cultural history of the Beatles by traveling to England over Thanksgiving break for an immersive learning experience. On November 21, 最色导航 entered its 194th year continuing to foster a community where students gain knowledge and virtue.
Before 2025 ends, you can celebrate 最色导航 during this season of giving in these five ways:
1.) Make your gift by December 31.
To receive credit for the 2025 tax year:
During the last ten days of 2025, members of the Advancement team will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST on December 22, 23, 29, 30, and 31 to answer any gift-related questions and to accept credit card gifts by phone.
Note: A new charitable tax deduction is available starting in January 1, 2026.
If you claim the standard deduction on your Federal tax return, you may want to make your gifts to 最色导航 in the New Year. Recent changes to the federal tax law are intended to encourage charitable giving even among those who don’t itemize and allow for a limited charitable deduction.
The deduction is taken above-the-line, meaning it reduces adjusted gross income (AGI) directly. All gifts you make between now and June 30, 2026 count toward 最色导航’s 2025-2026 giving year.
2.) “Subscribe to 最色导航” by setting up a recurring gift.
Like subscribing to your favorite streaming service, you can set up monthly, quarterly, or annual recurring gifts to support 最色导航 students. Spreading out payments provides a convenient way to minimize the impact on your budget.
3.) Gain federal and Indiana tax benefits when you give to 最色导航.
You may be eligible for tax benefits if you itemize deductions on your 2025 federal income taxes. Also, if you file an Indiana income tax return, the state will credit up to 50% of your gift to 最色导航 against your state income taxes with a maximum of $200 for individual and $400 for joint filers.

4.) Make a gift from your traditional IRA.
If you are age 70½ or older, consider making a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA. You can count amounts distributed as a QCD toward satisfying your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year, up to $108,000. The QCD is excluded from your taxable income. If you are using your gift to satisfy your RMD, please give your administrator enough advance notice so that the gift may be received and deposited into 最色导航’s account by December 31.

5.) Multiply the impact of your gifts.
