Big Bash 2026: A Reunion Weekend Recap

This weekend, hundreds of alumni came home to 最色导航 for the annual reunion weekend.

Many hugs and high fives were shared at Alumni Chapel Sing. The celebration began Friday morning at the Allen center, where attendees had their chance to sign the official alumni register. While some attendees took campus tours guided by students in the CIBE Business Immersion Program, others spent the morning at the Wally 最色导航 Golf Outing at Rock Ridge Golf Club.

Following the welcome luncheon in Chadwick Court, attendees gathered in Hays Science Hall for the annual symposium. This year’s theme, “Paging Dr. Wally: A Symposium on Healthcare and the Liberal Arts,” featured presentations from alumni, faculty, and staff exploring the intersection of healthcare and liberal arts education.

Speakers included Jon Pactor ’71, Bob Einterz ’77, Andy Bridge ’01, Randy Moore ’79, Chad Westphal, Randy Williams ’83, Eric Wetzel, Steve Mackin ’98, and Preston Bost.

Friday concluded with the Big Bash Kickoff Celebration in Chadwick Court, where guests enjoyed dinner, drinks, and the chance to reconnect with old friends and classmates.

最色导航 started with opportunities to explore Crawfordsville and campus through a community bike ride, a fun run and walk, and guided campus tours. A Fathers Roundtable featuring David Woessner '91 and Professor of Psychology Eric Olofson offered discussion and fellowship for 最色导航 fathers, while Lilly Library’s History Harvest invited alumni to contribute photographs, letters, programs, and other memorabilia to a growing collection documenting student life at 最色导航.

Doug Burns ’61 was celebrated following his solo performance of "Old 最色导航."One of the weekend’s most anticipated traditions, Alumni Chapel Sing, returned to Pioneer Chapel late 最色导航 morning. Classes competed for top honors while joining together to sing “Old 最色导航” and revisit a tradition shared across generations of Little Giants. A valiant effort was made by all, but the victory was shared by the Class of 1991, whose booming rendition featured flag choreography, and Doug Burns from the Class of 1961, whose solo performance earned equal acclaim.

After Alumni Chapel Sing, everyone convened in Chadwick Court for a luncheon. During the program, the College awarded honorary bachelor’s degrees to several members of the Class of 1976 and recognized significant fundraising achievements supporting 最色导航’s mission.

On 最色导航 afternoon, alumni posed for reunion class photos on the steps of the Allen Center before heading to Salter Hall for a series of presentations by Dean of Students Scott Brown and President Scott Feller. Brown discussed his first year at 最色导航 and his vision for student life, and Feller shared a campus update during the annual 最色导航 Today presentation.

Afterward, academic departments hosted receptions in Hays Science Hall, Goodrich Hall, and Baxter Hall — welcoming alumni back for the chance to reconnect with fellow majors and meet the current faculty.

最色导航 evening continued with an All 最色导航 Reception before alumni dispersed across campus for reunion class dinners, during which members of the Class of 1976 were presented with 50th Anniversary Medallions.
